Section Engineer - Highways & Drainage - Gloucestershire 500 per day Inside IR35 6-Month Contract with Scope for Extension Our client, a principal contractor delivering highways and civils works across Gloucestershire, is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a live scheme forming part of the county's ongoing Highways Major Projects programme. This is a great opportunity for a Section Engineer with strong drainage installation experience to join a well-established contractor on a long-running county framework, with genuine scope for the contract to extend well beyond the initial 6 months. The Role Managing engineering delivery for a defined section of the works, overseeing setting out, survey, and quality control Overseeing drainage installation works, ensuring compliance with design specifications and tolerances Supervising site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to specification Reviewing and approving as-built surveys, ITPs, and quality documentation Liaising with the site management team and client representatives on progress and technical matters Contributing to RAMS, permits, and site safety procedures What You'll Need Proven experience as a Section Engineer on highways or civils schemes Essential: drainage installation experience Desirable: SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS card and full UK driving licence Strong communication and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage site engineers and subcontractors About the Contract 6-month initial contract, with strong scope for extension Inside IR35 Interviews taking place 29th-31st July

Commissioning Engineer (EC&I) - Sellafield Site Location: Sellafield, Cumbria Pay: Up to 50 per hour (Inside IR35) Contract: Full-time, site-based (4 on 4 off rotation or standard site hours) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until June 2026 About the Role We're seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (EC&I) to join the team at Sellafield . This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient commissioning of control, instrumentation, and electrical systems within one of the UK's most complex and highly regulated industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Witness and verify vendor testing at works test stage. Prepare plant commissioning test specifications. Conduct early inspections of site installations to support timely system handovers. Execute testing activities during the Integrated Plant Commissioning phase. Identify faults, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate commissioning technicians and support resources. Initiate and manage Field Observation Books (FOBs). Validate working-level instructions and ensure accurate application and removal of temporary commissioning aids. Essential Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in nuclear EC&I systems commissioning . Background in highly regulated industries - nuclear experience essential , Sellafield experience preferable . Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent). Competent in Microsoft Office and Excel-based calculations. Familiarity with project management principles (APM membership desirable). IOSH Working or Managing Safely , SMSTS or SSSTS , and valid ECS Supervisory Card required. Must be able to obtain BPSS security clearance .
