Job Title: Teacher Location: Dudley, West Midlands Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 3:30pm Pay: £140.13 - £232.23 Start Date: November 3rd, 2025 Contract Type: Full-time Smart Education is working in partnership with a highly respected special school in the borough of Dudley , West Midlands. The school has an excellent reputation locally and beyond for its inclusive and nurturing approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) . The school caters for pupils aged 4 to 16 years old with a wide range of needs, including: VI (Visual Impairment) SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs) ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) PD (Physical Disabilities) MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) Staff work collaboratively to ensure every pupil receives a high-quality, individualised education that supports their academic, social, and emotional development. About the Role We are seeking a Qualified SEN Teacher / SEND Teacher (QTS required) to join this caring and well-resourced school. The successful candidate will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the unique learning and communication needs of each pupil. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and the SENCO Assess progress and adjust teaching methods to meet pupil needs Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in every learner Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Experience working with pupils with SEN / SEND , ideally across a range of needs (VI, ASD, SLCN, PD, MLD, SLD) Excellent differentiation and classroom management skills Empathetic, patient, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs About Smart Education: Smart Education is a specialist Education and Early Years agency, recruiting for both permanent and temporary roles including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals, Nursery Nurses, and Tutors.
