Press Operator Print Manufacture Norwich Initially on a 12 week term to be reviewed. The role is on a set shift pattern, 38 hours a week. Monday Thursday 15 45 and 12 45 Friday Competetive hourly pay rate (Weekly pay), rate based around experience. Technique Recruitment Solutions is working alongside a global print machinery manufacturer based in Norwich. They have a new opportunity for Level 3 Press Operators/Packers to join their team supporting the No1 and No2 Press Operator to ensure customer satisfaction. Initially on a 12 week period, which will be reviewed. The successful candidate will provide support that will enable the team to achieve production requirements and ensure quality control testing is completed efficiently highlighting potential issues that will cause waste Applicants will have a good understanding of production procedures within a manufacturing environment and functional knowledge and experience with packing and manual handling as well as completing paperwork and maintaining a clean, safe and neat work environment Previous experience within a print environment and/or Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential Key Responsibilities • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained. • Pack labels into cartons as per company specification. • Complete quality control checks • Mount / demount plates in line with production schedule. • Help with label despatch as required and trained. • Step up to No2 role as required in line with personal skills. Report incidents and seek guidance from HR and the management team when required. • Communication lead Tier 1 briefings, performance reviews, cover Tier 2 briefings when requested. • Comply with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Reporting any relevant issues to immediate Supervisor, EHS team member. • Efficiency: Work closely with other teams to drive class leading delivery performance. • Reviewing worker performance (and use corrective action as appropriate) and identify training needs. • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to every aspect of the processes associated with your team s work. • Focus on Continuous Improvement and on accomplishing Departmental and Plant goals. Job Title: Groundworker/Plant Operator Gang Location: Norfolk Salary: Depends upon experience Our customer has 25+ years of dedicated experience in the sewage treatment industry. Their core focus is on supplying and fitting reliable sewage treatment units, drainage and utilities and pump stations, tailored to cater to the needs of both individual homeowners and property developers. Looking for 2 x 2 person gangs. Each gang would comprise a digger driver and a groundworker. The qualifications would be: Digger driver with at least 5 years' experience on 360 excavators above and below 10 tons. Good experience of heavy equipment. The groundworker will have experience in domestic drainage, mains drainage and heavy civils. One of the two will need to be capable of being foreman and running each job, using drawings, setting out and communicating with his manager. Must be prepared to stay away 4 days a week. The work will be in Norfolk and Kent for now, but will also be in various locations across the UK.
