Press Operator Print Manufacture Norwich Initially on a 12 week term to be reviewed. The role is on a set shift pattern, 38 hours a week. Monday Thursday 15 45 and 12 45 Friday Competetive hourly pay rate (Weekly pay), rate based around experience. They have a new opportunity for Level 3 Press Operators/Packers to join their team supporting the No1 and No2 Press Operator to ensure customer satisfaction. Initially on a 12 week period, which will be reviewed. The successful candidate will provide support that will enable the team to achieve production requirements and ensure quality control testing is completed efficiently highlighting potential issues that will cause waste Applicants will have a good understanding of production procedures within a manufacturing environment and functional knowledge and experience with packing and manual handling as well as completing paperwork and maintaining a clean, safe and neat work environment Previous experience within a print environment and/or Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential Key Responsibilities • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained. • Pack labels into cartons as per company specification. • Complete quality control checks • Mount / demount plates in line with production schedule. • Help with label despatch as required and trained. • Step up to No2 role as required in line with personal skills. Front-Line Leader - Fabrication/Assembly Near Stalham Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm Friday 8am-3.30pm Our client are manufacturers of high-end products servicing the marine sector with an ever-increasing product range. You will support, challenge, inspire and coach Team Members in delivering the company strategy and production/cellular objectives. You will be the first line contact for your team and responsible to ensure they are performing and adhering to all processes and procedures. Communicate and participate in tiered meetings. The successful candidate will have an engineering or manufacturing background with a technical understanding and ideally formal training in production engineering. The role requires strong numerical and IT skills. Having a working understanding of the principles and tools of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools within a low volume, high quality manufacturing facility would be advantageous Responsibilities: • Lead: To guide, support and lead the team you are assigned to. Coordinating their workloads and providing support to ensure that all inbound and outbound activities are completed in time to meet expected timescales. • Develop engagement within your team by achieving minimum 75% participation in Engagement Survey and 100% participation in performance reviews. • Assist where required in production while also monitoring, coaching, and evaluating the team s performance. • Goal orientated: Make decisions based on data and drive results to achieve production targets. • Collect and monitor daily performance metrics and communicate daily via the Tier 1 production boards covering aspect of SQDCP. • Obtain product parts, materials, tools etc., set up bench and test facility, within machine shop or assembly and test product. • Implementation and ownership of KPI/ metrics to support the department s development and to secure direction. • Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with process documentation, industry standards and regulations • Manage HR related issues whilst treating sensitive information/conversations with upmost confidentiality. Report incidents and seek guidance from HR and the management team when required. • Communication lead Tier 1 briefings, performance reviews, cover Tier 2 briefings when requested. • Comply with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Reporting any relevant issues to immediate Supervisor, EHS team member. • Efficiency: Work closely with other teams to drive class leading delivery performance. • Reviewing worker performance (and use corrective action as appropriate) and identify training needs. • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to every aspect of the processes associated with your team s work. • Focus on Continuous Improvement and on accomplishing Departmental and Plant goals. Using the Lean System work processes as and when applied to the area . • Ensuring the customer is provided with products to their quality requirements in the right quantity and on time. • Ensuring stocks in your area of responsibility are accurate, through cycle counting and correct recording of stock movements. The Person: • Engineering/manufacturing background with a technical understanding and ideally formal training in production engineering. Job Title: Groundworker/Plant Operator Gang Location: Norfolk Salary: Depends upon experience Our customer has 25+ years of dedicated experience in the sewage treatment industry. Their core focus is on supplying and fitting reliable sewage treatment units, drainage and utilities and pump stations, tailored to cater to the needs of both individual homeowners and property developers. Looking for 2 x 2 person gangs. Each gang would comprise a digger driver and a groundworker. The qualifications would be: Digger driver with at least 5 years' experience on 360 excavators above and below 10 tons. Good experience of heavy equipment. The groundworker will have experience in domestic drainage, mains drainage and heavy civils. One of the two will need to be capable of being foreman and running each job, using drawings, setting out and communicating with his manager. Must be prepared to stay away 4 days a week. The work will be in Norfolk and Kent for now, but will also be in various locations across the UK. Project Engineer My client is a Norwich based engineering company which specialises in the design, manufacture, supply and support of rotating electrical machines and associated equipment. Previous experience in an engineering manufacturer role is essential to be considered for this role They have a requirement for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have previous experience in handling technical customer accounts in a manufacturing or engineering business. The individual should be self-motivated, flexible and have some mechanical engineering and logistics knowledge. The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team and would be required to undertake the following tasks - Manage current projects and deliver on time, in budget. Coordinating service engineers Assist in the development of new business in the UK and overseas Liaise with the Engineering team across departments in the UK and the commercial office in China Liaising, negotiating and building relationships with suppliers and Customers worldwide Provide technical, commercial and logistics support as required Some Clerical/Admin tasks - raising purchase orders, invoices and shipping documents A knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access software would be an advantage.
