Interim Management Accountant Scaling Consumer Goods business London The Client Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative Consumer Goods business who have experienced significant growth over the past few years. They are looking for someone to join immediately on a 3 to 4-month contract. Due to some planned extended leave within the team they require a senior finance manager to focus on the month-end and operational finance functional in their absence. Our client is a rapidly growing scale-up, and this role is ideally suited for a candidate with experience operating in consumer goods, Retail, or inventory-led companies, ideally with a turnover exceeding £60 million. Having successfully captured a significant share of the market; our client is poised to accelerate their growth in 2026 with the ambition of becoming a market leader in their sector. The Role Our client is seeking an experienced finance manager or management accountant to provide hands-on support with responsibility for month-end close, stock reporting, bank reconciliations, payroll, and e-commerce reconciliations. This will be supported by the wider finance team which has 7 members. However, it is crucial that the selected candidate is able to hit the ground running and is comfortable working in with complex and sometimes manual environments, whilst maintaining strong financial control Responsibilities Own month-end close. Support VAT submissions. Manage Stock accounting. Oversee P&L and balance sheet. Support intercompany stock and reconciliation process Ensure best practice is being followed in stock accounting. E-Commerce reconciliation (Shopify, PayPal, etc). Bank reconciliations. Support team to maintain financials controls and audit readiness. Essential Experience Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) Strong experience in the FMCG, retail, or similar industry with a heavy focus on stock accounting. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is essential. Proven experience owning month-end in a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong Excel skills.
