Due to an increase in business, our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their small, friendly team. You will be working alongside a Conveyancer - and will be working closely with your clients on a wide range of conveyancing matters. On a day-to-day basis you will : Assist with quotes and set up files for new conveyancing matters Issue clients with necessary forms and assist with their completion Apply for searches Deal with enquiries on sales and purchasing matters Diarise and chase matters as necessary Use the Land Registry portal to obtain Land Registry documents and Title Deeds as applicable Provide professional telephone support and email support to clients Work with third parties including solicitors, estate agents and lenders to progress matters Take/request payments from clients Prepare accounts for all receipts and payments Prepare files for exchange of contracts Prepare files for completion Deal with post completion matters Keep the case management system up to date Keep physical files up to date We are looking for candidates who have been working in a conveyancing team for a minimum of one year. Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join their Agriculture and Estates Team. The position is full time and office based. This friendly team is looking for someone with excellent secretarial skills and experience to help support the team's fee earners, working in a pool structure you will be you will be responsible for supporting the team with a variety of tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Some of your duties will include: Document management Transcribing and proof-reading letters, emails and other correspondence Audio typing Scanning, paginating and photocopying Providing general administration support to the team Making appointments on behalf of the Solicitor when requested and service meetings including booking conference rooms and provision of refreshments for the Solicitor and clients; Involvement in the efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, ID checks, preparing client engagement letters and terms and conditions; Answering the telephone professionally, taking accurate messages from clients and other contacts; Document creation including copy-typing manuscript amendments to documents, producing new versions of documents, preparing comparisons against previous versions and using track changes; Preparing engrossments of legal documents for signing; Requirements: Strong document management skills, preferably legal documentation such as numbering and amending documents Confidence in formatting documents A good eye for detail Good organisation and time management abilities Excellent team player Great typing skills Motivated with a strong commitment to learning Prior secretarial experience within this area of law would be advantageous Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
