Production Shift Manager (Shadsworth Business Park) Rotating 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am Salary 51,000 per annum Our Blackburn based manufacturing client are currently hiring for an experienced Shift Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating operational resources (machines, materials, people and out of hours engineering) in order to achieve planned/ targets for production output, product quality, BRC requirements, environment and health & safety. Role responsibilities Accident and incident investigations, being a proactive leader of behavioural safety Liaise with Quality departments in relation to complains / internal issues. Ensure staff understand importance of cost of quality and hygiene Provide leadership to the shift team/supervisors, appropriate deployment of resources in accordance with production priorities Complete 1:1's, appraisals and team meetings in a timely manner Day to day responsibility for the welfare of all shop floor personnel Attendance management, completing return to work documents, disciplinary and grievance hearings Delivery of the production plan in a timely manner Skills and experience Experience of leading a production team, ideally within manufacturing. Be able to identify and resolve basic machine related problems. Demonstrate being H&S competent in a safe working environment.
