Access & Plant Integration Network Engineer - Worthing/Hybrid £550 - £600 Outside IR35 - 6 months rolling - based in Worthing, although the role is hybrid working A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Access & Plant Integration Network Engineer to integrate downstream networks (package plants, kiosks, distributed processes) into the backbone using cost-effective and resilient designs. Key Skills/Experience for the Access & Plant Integration Network Engineer: Industrial access Switches (IE3100/IE3300 or equivalent compact DIN Switches). Uplinks into backbone rings using REP, Flex Links, or DLR. Process-area VLAN segmentation. Migration of unmanaged/Legacy Switches into managed access. Fibre and copper plant interconnects. Deliverables for the Access & Plant Integration Network Engineer: Plant/kiosk HLD/LLDs for access connectivity. Device migration plans (VLAN reallocation, unmanaged - managed). On-site cut-in and rollback plans. Build docs for package plant switch patterns (single, dual, DLR). We are now seeking a talented Nutanix Engineer to join our Infrastructure team and help drive innovation and resilience across our IT estate. As the Nutanix Engineer you will be responsible for building a new Nutanix platform, including capacity management and applications management. Role Overview: As a Nutanix Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our core systems, supporting both enterprise and field operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain Nutanix HCI platforms (AHV, Prism, Calm, etc.). Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and reliability. Provide 3rd line support and troubleshooting for Nutanix-related issues. Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration. Manage upgrades, patching, and life cycle of Nutanix clusters. Maintain documentation and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience with Nutanix technologies (AHV, Prism Central, AOS). Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or AHV). Experience with Windows and Linux server environments. Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup, and replication strategies. Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Desirable: Experience in a utilities or regulated industry. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud architectures.
