This position is responsible for the service, repair, and support of Canon Eyecare, Kowa and other medical instruments across the UK and international countries. The role requires the engineer to deliver a high standard of technical service and customer support, including installations, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software related to all medical devices (medical industry experience not required). This is a field-based role involving regular travel across the UK and International countries, with a requirement to work unsociable hours and weekends as needed to meet business demands. The role requires commitment and a can do attitude, strong work ethics, complete flexibility, and a high level of professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction and business efficiency at all times. Experience working with ophthalmic or medical diagnostic technologies in a commercial or clinical setting isn't essential. Attitude and a strong work ethic is key. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responding to all emails on the same working day Maintaining 100% response rate to breakdowns Keeping all internal and external ticketing systems up to date at all times Carry out daily service visits including installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance of Canon and Kowa, and other medical systems. Provide responsive and professional technical support to internal and external customers. Diagnose and resolve faults with both hardware and software, including integration with DICOM and PACS systems. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and logs. Assist with logistics including dispatch and warehousing of technical equipment. Support company exhibitions and training events as required. Deliver basic user training to clinical and technical users on installed systems. Skills/Experience Experience with IT networking, Microsoft SQL, and software integration (DICOM, HL7). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to work unsociable hours, weekends, and travel extensively within the UK and international countries. Excellent time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the role. Demonstrate initiative and flexibility in prioritising workload to meet critical deadlines. Our client is at the forefront of designing and manufacturing low energy, low carbon and sustainable building services solutions. They're now looking for a Design Engineer to join their team. This office-based role will be focused on thermodynamic modelling, and includes creating detailed quotations, supporting the sales team, and providing technical guidance to clients and colleagues. We welcome applications from recent graduates with degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or other related subjects. £25k - £32k depending on skills and experience.
