Reporting to the Hire Desk Manager you will be responsible for actively contributing to the region s performance through effective sales, customer service and administration. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring great relationships are built and a high level of service is always achieved. Through effective end to end hire management, you will contribute to maximising revenue, achieving profit targets, and ensuring customer retention is maintained. We are looking for a keen and experienced service engineer, fitter, technician or mechanic to join our team. As a Workshop Service Engineer for Nationwide Platforms you will work within a busy depot to inspect, repair and maintain our machines ensuring that they are ready for use by our customers. Our machines are powered access machines such as booms and scissor lifts but don t worry full training will be given. So, providing you have a great attitude and are willing to learn plus have some mechanical/ electrical engineering experience behind you then this could be the role for you. Responsibilities include: - Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region. Ensure that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine. Notify appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment. Repair machines at depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufactures specification and company policy. To complete planned maintenance activities including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard. Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with safe machine operation in accordance with company procedures. Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required. Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including engineer s report, off hire, pre/delivery inspection and service sheets. Update system on machine status change i.e. PDI carried out, Machine under repair, 6 monthly statutory Inspection completed. About you: - Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding. Have a mature outlook and the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure. We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join Nationwide Platforms, the UK market leader in powered access. In this role as Transport Planner, you will be based at our Leeds depot and you will be responsible for accurately planning the delivery and collection of our equipment for our depots within the region. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our business so we need someone who has proven experience of transport planning, excellent organisational skills and someone who is great at dealing with people. Responsibilities include: - • Plan the delivery of new hire orders, to meet agreed customer delivery times, ensure that off-hired equipment is collated within the timescale prescribed. • Plan deliveries and collections to ensure cost effective use of transport fleet. • Plan the activity of drivers ensuring the achievement of productivity is within the targeted average hours. • With the Regional Transport Manager, ensure that the vehicle allocated are maintained and inspected to the schedules set by fleet management. • Ensure that rivers comply with all relevant Road Transport legislation, including the correct and timely use of tachographs and internal reporting including the 48-hour working week systems in place.
