As Senior Analyst your role will include: Using operational analysis approaches to deliver impactful insights to their clients. Collating, managing, structuring, analysing, presenting, and visualising data. Deriving unique insights from data to inform senior-level decision making. Producing internal and external presentations and reports to summarise processes, findings, recommendations, and decision analysis results. Delivering high quality analysis and outputs. Taking a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with clients and the company s team of consultants and analysts. The role as a Senior Analyst will require a blend of working from our office, occasional travel to client sites, and working from home. Our client is happy to consider flexible working arrangements based on individual circumstances. The company s main clients will be based around key UK Defence establishments in the south of England. Experience /Qualifications Senior Analyst: The following skills and experience will enable you to excel in this role: Operational analysis approaches and techniques Advanced data analysis in Excel, including VBA Data analysis and data science Experience working within UK MoD Stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering and process design. A self-starter and team player. Good communication skills, enabling you to work confidently with team members and clients. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise your work. Attention to detail and the drive to see work through to completion. A positive and flexible approach to your work. Degree, MSc or equivalent experience Advanced data analysis in Excel, including VBA. Decision making techniques and processes. Operating models and organisational design. Software development using Python. Knowledge of current software development approaches, platforms and best practice. Centreless Grinder Location: Kent / Essex Border Salary: up to £35,000 Our client is looking to recruit a Skilled Centreless Grinder. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled centreless grinder to join our client s team. The candidate must be experience in engineering, ideally aerospace sector and will be required to set and run a variety of grinding, inclusive of 2nd operation machine tools, working in line with health and safety legislation. The candidate will endeavour to reduce waste and improve productivity, in line with zero defect philosophy, through increased effectiveness and efficiency. Please note this is a full-time role but 4 day a week. Working hours Monday to Thursday -hour week. Centreless Grinder Duties: Set and run centreless grinders, with experience running Wickman Scrivener, Ghiringhelli Grinder, Cincinnati or Tschadun Grinder (essential) Experience operating Myford Grinder (desirable) Support 2nd Operations machines safely as required Thread-rolling (desirable), part markers, drill banks, torque testers and deburrers (manual/rotary etc). Carry out first-off and job run inspection of 2nd Op Machine parts. Adhere to all documented health and safety, with correct PPE used to perform role. Carry out first-off buddy checks and job run inspection of 1st and 2nd Operations machine parts. Reduce scrap/rework reporting back efficiencies to the Production Manager. Maintain machine efficiency to ensure we comply with On Time Deliveries, Arrears, Parts Per Hour (PPH) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Manufacture good quality products in line with agreed standards and quality procedures. Complete daily maintenance check sheets and cycle timesheets. Ensure a safe and clean working environment is always maintained. Centreless Grinder Core Skills/Attributes Needed: Strong understanding of aerospace standards. Set and Run Manual Centre-less Grinders Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Measurement skills proficient in reading micrometre and working to tight tolerances. Team Player and communicate with colleagues to ensure the implementation of the company s policies and goals Attention to detail, including numeracy, and quality performance. The Role Systems Engineering Consultant This will include working with clients to analyse their problems; capture requirements; create architectures; identify potential options; assess solutions using systems analysis methods; and make recommendations based on robust evidence. Projects will typically be in support of research and procurement activities in the defence and security sector but may include work in other sectors and government departments. Responsibilities will include: Delivering/ leading technical consulting projects. Using systems engineering to tackle real world problems, applying tools and techniques, and developing novel approaches where required. Applying and developing systems engineering methods, tools and techniques, including developing and applying novel approaches where required. Working organically in customer teams to deliver high quality systems engineering advice & artefacts. Building new relationships and maintaining current customer relationships. About You The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential and desirable attributes: Essential Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant experience. Ability to use and apply both soft and hard systems engineering techniques to support system design/ development, business decision making, policy development, and/or research. Development, application, and delivery of systems engineering methods, tools and artefacts. Knowledge and Understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle. Building and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships. Authoring technical reports, developing systems engineering artefacts, and presenting to customers. Experience in one or more of the following systems engineering technical specialisms: Requirements elicitation and derivation Enterprise & System Architecting Verification & Validation/ Test & Evaluation System Integration Technology & Capability Roadmapping Capability/ Effects-based Engineering Option Analysis/ Solution trade-off studies Risk management and analysis Workshop design and facilitation Desirable Experience of using specialist Systems Engineering Software (e.g. Sparx EA) to develop SE Artefacts.
