This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in logistics, transport, fleet, haulage, freight, supply chain or related B2B environments . The role is primarily office-based and will focus on managing an established customer portfolio, developing long-term relationships, increasing account spend and identifying new business opportunities. The Role As Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers while proactively generating new business. You will act as a key point of contact, understanding customer requirements and identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services. You will combine account management, business development, telesales and relationship management , with a strong focus on revenue growth and customer retention. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a portfolio of existing B2B customer accounts within the logistics and transport sector. Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and become a trusted commercial point of contact. Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling, cross-selling and account development . Proactively contact existing, lapsed and dormant customers to generate additional sales opportunities. Conduct outbound telephone calls to identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities. Respond promptly and professionally to inbound telephone, email and web enquiries. Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services. Prepare accurate quotations and follow up opportunities through to successful conversion. Negotiate with customers, overcome objections and close new business. Re-engage previous customers through targeted outbound sales campaigns. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales information within HubSpot and CRM systems . Manage the sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are followed up effectively. Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure customers receive a high level of service. Keep up to date with product developments, market trends and industry changes. Attend regular sales meetings and contribute to business development strategies. Provide accurate sales forecasts and feedback on customer activity and market opportunities. Consistently work towards and exceed agreed sales, revenue and account growth targets. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager, Business Development Executive, Internal Sales Executive or B2B Sales Executive with a proven track record of developing customer relationships and generating revenue. Experience within the logistics, transport, haulage, fleet, freight, supply chain or wider transport sector would be highly advantageous. You will ideally have: Previous B2B sales, account management or internal sales experience. Experience within logistics, transport, fleet, freight or supply chain is desirable. A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong outbound telephone sales and business development skills. Excellent relationship-building and customer management abilities. Strong negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills. Experience identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience using HubSpot or other CRM systems . Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Excellent organisation and time-management skills. The ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities and sales opportunities. A proactive, resilient and commercially focused approach.
