Key Skills Apprentice Trained Engineer Experience of Packaging Machinery Understanding of PPM systems The Role Develop, test, and implement engineering solutions that improve packaging processes, line performance, and product quality. Support R&D and NPD (New Product Development) activities, including trials, prototyping, and evaluation of new packaging formats or machinery. Assist with the integration, setup, and optimisation of packaging machinery and automation technologies. Lead engineering investigations, identify root causes, and deliver corrective and preventive actions. Provide technical support for customer projects, including blue-chip FMCG clients and leading retailers. Prepare engineering documentation: test reports, line set-up specifications, risk assessments, and technical drawings. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on automated systems, it would be advantageous. You will also be able and willing to work on packaging machinery, conveyors, multi-vac machines, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery.
