Position : Quality and NPI Co-ordinator, Production Co-ordinator, Location : Sheffield Salary : around the 40,000 mark Sector : Metals manufacturing and production Do you have experience of working in quality and / or NPI within the manufacturing sector, ideally metals. This role will see you co-ordinating the manufacture of new products. This will entail liaising between sales, customers, engineering, design, manufacture, production and quality to ensure that customers' expectations are met in terms of delivery schedules and quality. It isn't an engineering role, but experience of working within a metals manufacturing environment will be extremely beneficial. You will need to be able to understrand an engineering drawing, and to be able to develop manufacturing process from that drawing. Taking responsibility for safety. quality, delivery, cost and people, you will ensure that the operation runs to its expected high levels of efficiency The detail : Manage, lead and coach the production team and department leaders Track succession planning and staff development through the appraisal and objective setting process. To deliver yearly, monthly & weekly revenue plans. Ensure all HS&E requirements are supported, maintained, updated and complied with in conjunction with the HS&E Manager. Engage with input to customer bids, generating proposals and submitting costings for existing and new products. Implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activities within a production environment is essential. Operations management and leadership experience preferably within a high-tech manufacturing environment. Experience of ERP essential - SAP specific would be of benefit. Experience of working within a project. Ability to manage specific resolution & improvement projects. Experience of delivering business change within a manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience of business risk management. Experience with & implementation of operational excellence tools would be of benefit. Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills with the drive and ability to motivate and inspire multi-functional teams to achieve business targets.
