Description The Legal Counsel will be: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements including supplier, consultancy, framework, IT, software and service contracts. Providing commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual and business matters. Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks while ensuring compliance with governance processes. Supporting the development and maintenance of legal templates, processes and contract management frameworks. Delivering legal training and guidance to colleagues whilst helping drive process improvements across the business. Profile The Legal Counsel should be: A solicitor or equivalent with 2+ years' PQE gained within private practice or an in-house legal team. Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts. Able to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to a range of stakeholders. Comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced commercial environment. Possess strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Experience of procurement, risk allocation frameworks or property-related contracts would be advantageous but is not essential.
