Are you an experienced CAD Technician looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Our client is expanding their installation team, who are experts in relocation and installation projects and deliver first class projects across the UK. This is a hybrid role, you can work from home and from any office in the UK. You will be part of a great team, including other CAD Technicians, however you will take total ownership of your own projects, producing detailed AutoCAD drawings, technical specifications, bills of materials, and bespoke product designs. You will be working closely with surveyors, installation teams and also liaising with the end client. Projects are extremely varied which makes the role even more exciting and regular site visits will enable you to see your designs come to fruition. Accuracy in every aspect of the role is paramount however ensuring Health and Safety of all projects is the main priority. Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 is an absolute must for this role. Main Responsibilities Produce AutoCAD drawings including plans, elevations, and cross sections for all installations. Produce glass drawings, including sectional cut-size drawings for glaziers. Prepare scope of works (method statements) for installations and relocations should there be any, based on survey information. Produce bills of materials and cutting sheets for proposed works. Manage survey data to ensure client-specific information is accurately captured and considered. Provide technical liaison to the installation teams and support where required Liaise with internal teams to plan and generate and signage that may be required. Work closely with the surveyors to ensure accurate and complete capture of site data. Provide technical and construction advice across all of your projects. Attend client meetings to review progress of installations and provide technical input. Personal profile Essential Must be Proficient in AutoCAD for producing technical drawings (2D essential). Be competent in creating technical drawings for glazing and similar components. Have the ability to interpret survey information and translate into accurate drawings and documents. Experienced in producing scopes of work, method statements, and bills of materials. Have knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technical documentation. Good knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations Possess strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to support site teams remotely. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels - clients, surveyors, and internal teams. Have excellent multitasking capabilities and able to manage multiple concurrent projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Desirable Experience in any installation projects, banking sector fit-outs, or related construction environments. Familiarity with security products and bespoke specific installation requirements. Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to installation works. Experience working with bespoke signage and glazing requirements. Ability to design or adapt custom components/products. Experience attending client meetings to discuss technical site challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity, you can work from home but must be able to commute to one of the many offices in the UK at least once per week or as and when required.
