Produce designs for electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, termination details and cable schedules using EPLAN Electric P8 Produce and maintain bills of materials Produce completed electrical schematics in line with customer specifications Attend design meetings to discuss projects and assist with product reviews to make strategic proposals Assist with the testing and verification of designed products Maintain an up to date knowledge of electrical processes Provide technical support to production and sales teams Ensure design projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints Assess the suitability of materials used for prototype design and builds Help to implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques throughout the department Qualifications & Experience HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar Proficient user of EPLAN P8 software is essential Proficient user of AutoCAD Electrical is essential Demonstrable experience in the design of LV switchgears and control panels Experience in the design of rail signalling systems is highly desirable but not essential Experience in fault finding on a wide range of electrical automated equipment is desirable Previous electrical fitting or testing experience would be an advantage Ability to work simultaneously across multiple design projects while meeting strict deadlines Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and schematics Vacancy Summary Hours: Full Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week Job Type: Permanent This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Express Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be based within commuting distance of Nottinghamshire and will be happy to travel nationally, staying away from home up to 3 nights per week (all travel, accommodation and food covered). The role offers a salary of c£40,000 per annum depending on experience, plus overtime and travel allowances. A fully equipped company van and fuel card are provided.
