Reporting to the Mechanical & Process Design Manager, duties will include but are not limited to: Produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and bio solids treatment plants Assist in all aspects of mechanical design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing Produce procurement specifications for mechanical equipment; hydraulic calculations and production of detailed design construction drawings Provide design assistance to installation and commissioning teams Communicate with clients and subcontractors as well as external design resources, to ensure compliance with specification Interpret and understand client requirements from client documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.) Liaise with Project Managers and the procurement team to ensure correct purchase of plant and equipment Coordinate internal and external project specific design costs in liaison with Project Manager Undertake and check design calculations including hydraulics and pumping systems Manage the preparation of CAD drawings Undertake design risk assessments to support detailed design proposals Prepare detailed mechanical specifications Produce Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&Id's) Qualifications/requirements: BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering Competent in Microsoft Office Experience of CAD packages beneficial Full UK Driving licence Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK without restrictions About the Graduate Scheme: The recently updated and improved Trant Graduate Scheme is offered to all Graduates joining the business.
