Buyer Manufacturing - Cannock Brooklyn Recruitment currently have an exciting role available in the Cannock area for a Buyer within the manufacturing sector. This role would suit someone with purchasing / buying experience within a manufacturing environment, electrical manufacturing would be ideal but isn t essential. This company have an excellent working environment with the building being light, bright and clean. You would be joining a 6 strong (growing) procurement team as a Buyer and a total workforce of around 200 but this company still has a family friendly feel to it, where everyone is known by name and you even get your birthday off! As a Buyer you will be: Establishing relationships with and negotiating with suppliers. Negotiating freight costs. Adhering to all buying procedures. Establishing and updating safety stock levels against demand. Working with LEAN manufacturing initiatives. Escalating any supplier quality issues with the NCR team. Ensuring all supplier payment terms are in line with the company standards. Negotiating once quotes are received to ensure the best deals. Rejecting / negotiating any price increases from suppliers. Working with suppliers to ensure they deliver on time and in full. Producing supplier reports and categorising them. Other duties as required.
