I have complex needs, including cognitive difficulties, cerebral palsy and autism. I am looking for an enthusiastic, fun, patient and reliable Support Worker to help me engage in the activities I love and to become more independent. You will need to be calm under pressure and be able to apply a consistent approach. I attend a special school but only require additional support outside of school hours, enabling me to take part in social activities. I require some assistance with personal care. Everyone tells me I am very kind and caring, fun to be with and a little "sassy!". I will always help you to help me, as I will tell you what I like, and I don't like. Trying something new can make me a bit nervous, so I will need a bit of extra support on those occasions. I am currently thoroughly enjoying going to the local gym and attending other local activities. During school holidays your hours are likely to increase to provide extra support at home and to accompany me on day trips. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. Full induction and training will be provided.
