Multi-skilled Engineering Technician Bristol (BS35) Salary: £41,062.59 + 26% shift allowance = £51,739.86 per year Shifts: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (average 3.25 days per week) Pattern includes: 7 consecutive days off per month Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Unit 1, Central Park, Goldcrest Way, Bristol, BS35 4GH (commutable from Severn Beach, Avonmouth, Patchway, Filton & surrounding areas) Why join CHEP? You ll maintain and improve manufacturing equipment using a multi-skilled approach, working to high safety and reliability standards in a fast-paced, automated environment. What you ll do Perform proactive and reactive maintenance across site equipment Diagnose faults and carry out root cause analysis Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Use CMMS to log and manage maintenance tasks Supervise contractors and issue work permits Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations What we need from you Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical disciplines Experience in fast-paced, safety-driven environments Strong fault-finding skills (electrical, mechanical, PLC) Ability to read engineering drawings and operate workshop tools Safety-conscious, adaptable, and a team player Shift Pattern Example A typical rotation includes: 3 nights on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 3 nights on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 7 consecutive days off , 2 days on, 2 days off.
