Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government departments, delivery partners, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate with internal functions including technical, property, safety, health, environment, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor programme risks, track progress, and lead on financial reporting. Identify resource gaps and skills development needs across the programme team. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices across delivery areas. The ideal candidate for the role Principal Programme Manager: We're looking for someone who brings a blend of strategic thinking, operational leadership, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will be: An experienced programme or project manager with a track record of delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder programmes in the public or environmental sector. Skilled in governance, reporting, and financial management of complex programmes. Comfortable leading teams, influencing at senior levels, and working across organisational boundaries. Organised, outcome-focused, and able to drive performance across a wide portfolio of projects. Relevant qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, APM PMQ). Experience working in an environmental, infrastructure, or remediation context. Familiarity with government-funded project delivery or working with public bodies. Interested?
