Centre 33 is a well-respected charity based in five Hubs in Cambridgeshire and is well known for providing support to young people. Purpose Of Your Job This role is to lead a team of Service Administrators to ensure that every young person receives a high level of service and teams are well supported to deliver this service. You will understand all areas of service delivery , including but not limited to handling incoming communication and enquiries from service users and external agencies via our frontline telephone, email, WhatsApp and text streams, providing admin support during our drop in services, as well as supporting referrals, bookings and managing waiting lists for our services to be able to provide cover for all roles for absence. You will provide admin and PA support to Service Delivery Leadership Team to promote effective systems. Team Lead North - Mental Health and Counselling Full-Time post (35 hours) Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 per annum/pro rata Permanent This is an exciting opportunity to join our established Someone to Talk to service in a Team Lead role. The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33 s two hubs in our North Locality, in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Wisbech. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a mental health or youth work role, and with experience of managing people. The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33 s mental health support offer for young people aged years, leading the teams delivering counselling and the wider, flexible emotional wellbeing offer. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services. They will develop strong relationships with local organisations and statutory services to ensure effective joint working and support for young people. This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will hold only a limited ongoing, regular case load. The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10am to 6pm, with some evening / Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours. Trustee Hours: Minimum commitment is attendance and preparation for four Board meetings each year (some of which will be in the daytime). Trustees are encouraged to also commit to joining one of the sub-committees or time-limited working groups. Duration: 3-year terms up to a maximum of 9 years which may be extended subject to Board approval. Trainee Children and Young People s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) . Full Time (35 hours), One year fixed term (January 2026 - January 2027), £24-25K per annum CYP-PT (formerly CYP-IAPT) The Children and Young People's Psychological Training programmes (CYP-PT) (formerly CYP-IAPT) is a service transformation programme delivered by NHS England that aims to improve existing children and young people's mental health Services (CYP-PTs) working in the community. As part of this initiative, Centre 33 is looking to recruit trainee Children and Young People s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) to join our existing team based within the Someone to Talk to service. As a trainee CWP you will deliver brief, evidence-based, goal focused interventions to support young people aged 13-25 experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will provide some Guided Self-Help interventions to support parents of younger children aged 5 -12 who experience anxiety and behavioural difficulties. You will deliver support in a variety of ways including 121 and group work, workshops and webinars, dependent on service needs. Our blended offer at Centre 33 means you will be expected to work face to face and remotely via telephone and Zoom depending on individual client needs. You will study part-time for the Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice: Post Graduate Diploma through University College London and the Anna Freud Centre for Children and Families. Your remaining hours will be spent working within our busy service, applying and developing the skills and knowledge you acquire in training to our client base. You will be based across the South of Cambridgeshire (Ely/Cambridge) and will be required to travel efficiently to locations across this region to meet role requirements. You will also be required to regularly travel efficiently to London for the purposes of course requirements, 50% of the weekly travel costs from home to University of College London to attend the Children s Wellbeing Practitioner Course in line with our expenses policy. You will have a minimum of a second-class Bachelor s degree from a UK University (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g. Psychology) and evidenced experience of working with young people.
