Leading Security Installation organisation seeks an experienced Security Engineer to install, service and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems across customer sites, ensuring full compliance with Company and BS EN/PD standards. Successful candidates for the Security Engineer will demonstrate extensive experience across security systems, a proactive can do attitude and the ability to work independently as well as within a wider engineering team. BS7858 security screening and a full clean UK driving licence are essential. Occasional overnight stays required. The role covers the West Midlands area. Duties of Security Engineer : Install, service, commission and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems to current BS EN/PD standards Diagnose faults across all security disciplines and carry out effective repairs and corrective actions Complete small works, system upgrades and equipment replacements as required Work efficiently within the engineering team to ensure project deadlines and targets are achieved Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and compliant with industry regulations and RAMS Maintain accurate documentation, reports and compliance records Participate in the on-call rota and be available for occasional overnight stays Attend company meetings and follow all company procedures Maintain exceptional levels of customer service and client communication Conduct all activities in a professional manner, supporting the wider workforce and contributing to the company s one team ethos Skills and Experience required by Security Engineer : Minimum 3 years experience installing, servicing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems Proficiency with the following systems is desirable CCTV: Dahua, Intruder: Texecom, Pyronix, Ajax and Galaxy, Access Control: Paxton "Can do" attitude Candidate must be prepared to undergo Security screening to BS7858 standard Essential A full UK driving licence - Essential Location: West Midlands coverage Salary: Up to: £50K + stand by fee, overtime payments and overnight inconvenience fee Holidays: 27 days + birthday day off + bank holidays Benefits: Free physiotherapy, GP and Counselling service, discounts on groceries to well-known retailers. Reporting directly to Tool Room Manager, the role of Toolmaker requires you to manufacture, maintain and repair tooling and dies to precise engineering drawings within tight tolerances, produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, maintain quality and safety standards, keep accurate records and be responsible for the maintenance of equipment and supplies. Toolmaker duties will include: Disassembly and reassembly of tools Tool splitting and regrinding Replacing component parts Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces Maintain specifications by observing all associated operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools Operate manual and CNC machinery Manual milling, turning, surface grinding, 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling, bench work Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Ensure maintenance of Quality standards Skills/Attributes required by Toolmaker : Previous experience within a similar role as Toolmaker within a heavy manufacturing environment (essential), preferably automotive or aerospace background Toolmaker apprenticeship or minimum 3 years' experience in a toolroom environment Experience setting and operating CNC machinery Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings Understanding of Quality Standards and Regulations Proven efficiency with working practices Problem solving and tool improvement Must be able to work on own initiative Attention to detail Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task Be able to communicate effectively with own team and other departments Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Hours of Work: Varying Shifts Available Pay Rate: 15 - 16.50 per hour dependent upon experience Contract: Temporary to permanent If you are a skilled Tool Maker seeking an exciting opportunity, please APPLY TODAY!
