Description You will be visiting customer sites, loading and unloading bins. This will be with a Roll on Roll of lorry and Drawbar trailer. This is Monday to Friday role with a shift every other saturday morning. Key Responsibilities The delivery and collection of roll-on/roll-off containers using a drawbar. In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of our HGV fleet to ensure vehicles remain safe and road-ready. The hours are Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday morning working. Role and responsibilities Carry out both scheduled, servicing, inspections, Pre-MOT inspections and unscheduled repairs to a high standard MOT Presentation Fault diagnosis Welding and fabricating Attend internal and external training Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner Pay rates 0-42.5 Hours £19.29 per hour (Tariff 1) 42.5 + Hours £28.94 per hour (Tariff 2) Sundays £38.58 Per hour (Tariff 3) Essential skills and qualifications Relevant engineering qualification (preferably within the motor transport sector). Ability to diagnose and rectify faults. Positive "can do" attitude. Basic hydraulic knowledge. Good health and safety awareness. Must be able to work under their own initiative with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the customer (internal). Other requirements Class C Driving license desirable but not essential. Although you may be expected to undertake a funded course to to obtain a Class C+E license Willingness to undertake further development Conscientious nature and attention to detail Flexible approach to working environment and/ or hours Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £19.29 per hour Licence/Certification: Qualification in HGV Maintenance (preferred) Work Location: In person
