Technical Manager (High-End Stone & Masonry) We are representing a leading specialist contractor known for delivering high value facade packages in London. Unlike a general management role, this position requires a deep technical expert and candidates who can develop technical solutions and solve issues of a build, rather than those who primarily manage the flow of information between third-party subcontractors. This includes developing bespoke fixing details and structural interfaces. Hands-on CAD/BIM Coordination, directly overseeing or producing detailed shop drawings, cutting lists, and stone schedules. You must be able to "interrogate" a drawing to find errors before they reach the factory. Assessing stone types for technical suitability (porosity, flexural strength, etc.) and ensuring the chosen material aligns with the structural requirements of the fa ade or interior. Site-Based Troubleshooting, attending site to resolve complex installation challenges in real-time, working closely with site teams to ensure tolerances are met and aesthetic integrity is maintained. Quality & Fabrication Liaison: Managing the technical relationship with fabrication facilities to ensure manufacturing matches the technical design intent exactly. Requirements Stone Facade Expertise: (Mandatory) Proven experience managing intricate stone cladding and masonry packages on high-value projects. A track record of managing internal design teams and external consultants. Significant experience in the Ultra-Prime/High-End Residential market. Strong understanding of AutoCAD, BIM/Revit workflows, and document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore). Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
