The post holder will be expected to work on-site 4 days per week at the client s offices, located in Kettering or Wellingborough, so please only apply if you are able to meet the clients requirements. As a Housing Options Advisor you will support the team in reducing backlogs and waiting times for homeless applications. The role involves triaging cases and conducting casework, making informed decisions on homelessness applications. You will play a key role in providing advice, assessing housing needs, and helping applicants navigate their housing options. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Manage the triage process for homeless applications. Make decisions on cases in line with housing legislation. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: In-depth knowledge of Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996. Experience in housing advice, casework, and negotiations with various stakeholders. Strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear and concise statutory decision letters. Capability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently. To work as a Triage officer with the Triage Team which is part of Housing Options. Daily tasks will be dealing with homeless on the day approaches, managing your caseload of homeless or customers threatened with homelessness providing support and advice. Successful applicants will need to have a DBS check carried out. Van, fuel card, tools & PPE provided. Duties Carrying out reactive repair work in our residents homes and communal areas. Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with Electricity at Work Regulations and BS th Edition Testing and certifying work carried out in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations. Where necessary, ensure Health & Safety working practices which are essential to ensure the safety of both tenants and operatives, are always implemented. Be responsible for safeguarding test instruments and other equipment issued. Safeguard, maintain, replenish, and keep records of electrical materials issued for van stock. Qualifications & Experience Experience of reactive repairs within a social housing/residential setting. Have the skills to inspect, test, install, maintain and repair electrical installations. Have the capability to complete electrical certification/reports for the type of work being undertaken. Have excellent communication and customer service skills City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 / AM2 / NVQ level 3. City & Guilds 2391 or 2392/2394 & 2395 (or to show competence in Inspection & Testing). City & Guilds th Edition. A Full UK Driving License
