Safety Compliance Advisor (Heating, Electrics & Lifts) Kidderminster £31,163 - £38,954 + benefits We are seeking an experienced Safety Compliance Advisor to support the effective delivery of heating, electrical and lift safety across our residential property portfolio. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all compliance obligations are met in line with regulatory requirements, reducing risk to customers, employees, and third parties. The position also covers several smaller compliance areas, including alternative heating systems, door entry systems, and alarm equipment. About the role You will be responsible for ensuring our properties remain fully compliant with all statutory obligations related to cyclical servicing, maintenance, lift safety certification, and other property safety requirements. You will support the implementation and ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and control measures designed to prevent non-compliance. Key aspects of the role include managing programmed works, validating certification, monitoring budgets, overseeing remedial actions, analysing compliance data, and preparing reports that identify themes and trends. Strong relationship-building is essential, as you will work closely with internal teams, contractors, partners, and regulatory bodies to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient services. You will also provide technical advice on heating and electrical compliance, contribute to internal and external audits, and ensure all compliance activity is accurately recorded in the asset management system. About you You will bring: Knowledge of gas, electrical, and lift safety regulations Experience managing compliance programmes Strong communication and IT skills A background in delivering similar compliance functions VRQ Level 2 qualifications (Gas, Electrical, Asset & Building Compliance, or Lifting Equipment Safety) This role requires resilience, flexibility, and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work across departments and adapt to changing priorities. As a Building Safety Surveyor, you ll play a crucial role in demonstrating the safety and compliance of buildings contributing to the health, safety, and welfare of clients and residents. We are seeking an experienced Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) to join our growing Building Safety team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the Principal Designer under the Building Regulations, leading design compliance across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will guide clients, designers, and contractors through the design phase to achieve safe, compliant, and well-documented building outcomes. This role is mainly home-based with occasional on-site and office meetings. Purpose To plan, manage, and monitor the design process to ensure all designs comply with the Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act 2022, and associated statutory duties. You will act as the key point of contact between clients, designers, and regulators, ensuring the Golden Thread of information is established and maintained throughout each project. Qualifications & experience Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RIBA, ICE, CIBSE, CIOB, CABE, IStructE). Experience in design management, building control, and compliance Experience fulfilling Principal Designer duties under Building Regulations. In-depth understanding of the Building Regulations, Building Safety Act 2022, and associated guidance (including Approved Documents). Strong knowledge of design risk management and fire and structural safety principles. Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams in a consultancy environment.
