Network Technician Our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, based in Norwich are currently seeking a Network Technician to join their IT Department based in Norwich. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of Norwich. Frequent travel to UK Operational sites including offshore assets may be required in this role, you may be called on for out-of-hours business critical events and form part of an on-call rota. This is an essential support position providing an active and practical resource providing support for 24/7 onshore and offshore operations for a UK Operator. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Cisco CCNA or higher Proven experience as a Network Technician or similar role. Hands-on firewall, security and VoIP experience Strong practical network skills rooted in IP are essential Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with network security practices and technologies. Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco network devices. Key Responsibilities Include: Assist in the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Manage and support a variety of systems, working daily to troubleshoot, monitoring your environment, installing, configuring, cabling and labelling, seeing jobs through from start to finish. Use the IT Helpdesk system to receive requests and carry out troubleshooting and changes to the network in line with Group methodology. Configure and maintain network devices such as routers and switches Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime. Liaise with Group Network and IT department for 3rd line escalation. Liaise with WAN service providers for installations and issues. Ensuring assets are recorded correctly in our Equipment database. Testing and performing recovery. Comply with all relevant cybersecurity guidance and regulation. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. Supporting the offshore Telecoms team with equipment failures and replacement preparations. Liaise with Telecoms team regarding radio links between sites which carry the network. The role will work with and support members of the Group Network Team based in Paris and support from various UK sites. This is a full time, permanent position, based in Wroxham. Our clients offers flexible working ! As follows: Working a Monday Friday, 40 hour week our client offers flexible working with enhanced rates and incentives available. Such as: Early starts from 06:30 to complete your 40 hours before a Friday. Enhanced overtime rates for completing 40+ hours. Additional one off payments over 45 hours (alongside the enhanced overtime rates). Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Good working knowledge of painting and varnishing procedures. Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations. Experience working with wood including wood repairs Working in a team when doing large scale jobs, spraying yacht interiors, sanding, and antifouling hulls, working independently on smaller tasks such as varnishing joinery components Attention to detail in all areas, having a keen eye, right-first-time approach and ensuring work passes rigorous quality control inspections. Experience in spraying paint/varnish on cabinetry kitchens, bathrooms, furniture (ideally 5+ years, time-served) Wide experience in French Polishing techniques Smart repair experience desirable but not essential. Marine experience desirable but not essential. As the Painter / Finisher you will be working to a high standard hand finishing cabinetry in excellent working conditions. Key Job Responsibilities Prepare for finishing, filling, masking and sanding timber and GRP with a range for different grit wet or dry paper, using orbital sanders. Block and hand sanding in acute areas. French Polishing to and repairs to finished cabins and other boat furniture. Hand applying finishes on solid and veneered timber products - using water-based lacquers, paints and hard wax oils. Working daily with many solid hardwoods and veneered timber products, offering a range of different varnished finishes. Occasional spraying on timber and GRP using Polyurethane and Epoxy paint systems. Carrying out smart repairs where necessary using Konig smart repair system. Health and safety, ensuring the correct PPE is being used when working, and understanding of paint system s requirements. FactoryTrack is a system to allow the production operatives to directly record their hours onto specific jobs/tasks thereby negating the need for timesheets to be written and manually recorded into the MRP software. Working with the Production admin team assessing priorities with respect to production resources and sub-contractors. Generally working with the various production departments tackling any material supply problems they encounter; researching the issue and ensuring it is resolved properly for the future. Assisting the Production Department with all production planning associated tasks as required. Work with the Production admin team to ensure production orders for heavy outputs each month are completed and closed in a timely fashion with thorough reviews being carried out to minimise Material variances on each project as well as monthly reviews of created, printed, released and active orders to ensure the data is clean and up to date Production is the very heart of the business and planning & controlling every aspect from raw material movement to generating profiles and small assemblies for stock to ensuring we have enough labour at the right time to achieve outputs. The person in this role with have their finger on the pulse of production knowing where material & fabrications are and the status of each job; totally focussing on the prompt and accurate supply of material and labour including pushing things to sub-contracting if need be. Seeing builds through their entire production start to finish and working closely with the Senior Production Controller. They will also provide front line IT.
