Job Title: Production Team Leader Location: Bognor Regis About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Production Team Leader with a strong engineering background to drive operational excellence in manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication. Your main focus will be process improvement, technical problem-solving, and efficiency , with people management as a supporting role . If you love turning engineering insight into practical solutions on the shop floor and want to make a real impact, this role is for you. What You'll Do Lead and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication workflows. Implement and sustain Flow Cells , tooling setups, SOPs, and visual management. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives : Kaizen, 5S, SMED, TPM, and continuous improvement. Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement engineering-based solutions. Support new product introductions and engineering changes . Oversee inventory control using Kanban and Pull systems. Coach a small team to follow technical processes and maintain operational standards. What We're Looking For Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication. Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Sage preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Deep understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Leadership skills to support and guide a small team (secondary focus).
