My client, a world leader in the defence sector and supplier of Missiles and Missile Systems, requires a Project Engineer to join the ir Electromagnetic Compatibility team, providing EMC support across a range of programmes. Project Engineer (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and Lead Project Engineer Their Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radiation Effects (RE) department includes a highly skilled project consultancy team that is embedded across all projects to ensure good EMC practice & design. This role supports programmes throughout the full engineering lifecycle, with a specific focus on design for EMC and RE, providing project teams with advice and guidance on the design of products to ensure that they meet the EMC requirements, as well as being responsible for designing and producing test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions. To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified to a Higher Education level in a relevant electrical or electronic subject, with significant experience in analogue and digital electronics design with an awareness or specialism in EMC and/or RF systems. You will have significant experience in Electronic Design, development and delivery, with a good understanding of EMC and design principles. You will have experience of leading electronic design work packages and will have excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of electronic technologies, as well as experience with SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, ORCAD). For the lead role, you will also need experience of managing work packages to time, quality and cost constraints, as well as experience in leading, managing and developing teams of engineers.
