Quantity Surveyor - Bishop's Stortford £55,000-£80,000 Full-time, office-based (5 days per week) A reputable regional main contractor who have been operating for over 30 years is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving commercial team in Bishop's Stortford. You'll oversee a portfolio of refurbishment, build and fit-out projects typically ranging from £500k-£5m , working with a steady pipeline of long-term, reliable clients. Key Responsibilities: Manage the commercial delivery of multiple live projects simultaneously Oversee monthly valuations, cost reporting and cashflow forecasting Lead subcontract procurement, assessment and payment processes Monitor project financial performance and identify risk/opportunity Prepare and negotiate variations and final accounts Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company procedures Work closely with site teams to track progress and maintain commercial control Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners Contribute to commercial strategy and help maintain healthy project margins Attend regular progress meetings and provide clear commercial updates Review and approve subcontractor applications and change orders Support programme delivery by resolving commercial issues promptly Maintain accurate project documentation and audit-ready records This is an excellent opportunity for a QS seeking stability, autonomy and a strong pipeline of work within a trusted, long-established contractor.
