PURPOSE OF THE ROLE You will maintain and repair all electrical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all tasks: • Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Translink fleet to PCV standards • Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems • Remove and replace vehicle components • Respond to vehicle breakdowns • Complete administrative duties associated with the post • Other appropriate duties Essential Criteria Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline. Minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship experience in a similar role. Full current driving licence. Able to obtain a PCV licence. Desirable Criteria Relevant qualification or training relating to a workshop environment. Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles. Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches. Experience of using IT packages. Possess large vehicle licence, preferably a PCV licence
