Data Science Manager Our complex instrumentation industry client is seeking a Data Science Manager. Primary Purpose The position of provides a key leadership role within the cross-functional engineering team. The individual is responsible for the on-time delivery of high-quality software for our complex engineering products and for working closely with other staff members in Research & Development, systems engineering, Product management and applications. Responsibilities and Duties Lead a team of data scientists in their delivery of high quality, fault-tolerant software, often in a time sensitive manner. Own the Data Science strategy for the company and be able to communicate effectively with the other functions/departments. People management of your team - career development, recruitment, mentoring, training, appraisals. Project management Working with a project lead, create, track and report against project plans for your team and supporting their integration into an overall program plan, including maintaining and managing technical debt. Build appropriate processes to support continuous improvement. Work effectively within a complex cross-functional multi-disciplinary environment. Ensuring effective use of external partners to expand software delivery capabilities. Hands-on technical contribution.
