Site Engineer Location: Cheltenham Contract: 3 Months (Potential Extension) Rate: Competitive Daily Rate Inside IR35 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior / Site Engineer to join one of the UK's largest highways infrastructure projects. The Role Reporting to the Sub Agent, you'll play a key role in supporting the site management team while providing guidance and mentoring to a team of junior engineers. This is a self-delivery project, so we're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and capable of hitting the ground running. You'll be responsible for maintaining engineering standards on site whilst supporting the delivery of major highways and infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the Sub Agent, providing technical engineering support. Mentor and support junior Site Engineers, reviewing setting out, QA documentation and engineering records. Manage engineering activities across highways works including earthworks, drainage, kerbing, surfacing, S278/S106 works and associated infrastructure. Coordinate utilities works, including diversions, installations and protection of existing services. Carry out and oversee accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment. Review drawings, specifications and technical information, raising RFIs where required. Maintain accurate QA records including ITPs, check sheets, as-built surveys, daily diaries and material approvals. Support NEC contract administration through quality records, early warnings and change control where required. Monitor progress, identify risks and support programme delivery. Ensure all works are delivered safely and in accordance with CDM regulations and company procedures. Assist with Temporary Works coordination where required. About You You'll be an experienced Site Engineer with a strong highways background who enjoys supporting less experienced engineers while remaining hands-on with project delivery. You'll have: Proven experience working as a Senior Site Engineer on highways infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of highways construction and utilities coordination.
