The successful Finance Manager will also lead a small team, driving process improvements and ensuring strong financial controls across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Produce monthly management accounts, cashflow and debtor analysis Oversee payroll, VAT, HMRC, and pension returns Manage annual budgets, forecasts and year-end accounts preparation Provide financial insight, variance analysis, and recommendations to senior management Lead and develop a small finance team Maintain strong relationships with auditors, pension providers, banks, and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls across the organisation What We're Looking For: AAT qualified (or equivalent); fully qualified accountant desirable Strong background in finance, with experience of payroll, VAT, and HMRC returns Proven track record in management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting Excellent IT skills with strong Microsoft Office knowledge Ability to explain financial detail in a wider business context Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levels Flexible, detail-focused and able to work on your own initiative Experience within the charity or public sector would be highly desirable This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Finance Manager to make a real impact in a collaborative, supportive environment.
