Our client is a global provider of property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance, and are seeking a Graduate Analyst to join a small catastrophe modelling team, reporting into the Senior Catastrophe Manager. The role is on the insurance side of their business working across Property, Energy, Marine and any other lines as per business needs, helping to provide the underwriters with the analytics they need to make informed decisions. The role requires good data handling and analysis skills, as well as with solid experience in Excel, and ideally SQL and/or programming in Python or R. This role will give an excellent grounding in catastrophe modelling and the use of RMS software. Prior relevant work experience in an analytical role would be well regarded, otherwise an academic background in a numerical or science subject, alongside requisite solid IT skills is a MUST.

You will support the underwriters with exposure analysis pricing information, portfolio roll-up, workflow otimisation and you will be using a variety of vendor and internal models, also helping to develop and automate the processes and systems within the team. Candidates should have a numerate degree, Lloyd s experience or experience with catastrophe risk or exposure management is advantageous, as is solid skills in Excel, Access, SQL and Verisk. Any necessary training needed will be given.

Our client, a Specialty Insurer in London, is looking for a motivated Exposure Management Analyst to join them to work on Non Nat Cat business. This role will involve supporting across a range of exposure management activities and ongoing projects to develop exposure management capabilities, with specific emphasis on Cyber business. The responsibilities of this role include: Assist with the data flow process, including liaising with underwriting teams for data requirements. Manipulating and inputting exposure data into vendor modelling software. Internal business reporting of model outputs. Co-ordinate the development and analysis of internal scenarios, in liaison with underwriting and actuarial teams. Support the use and development of internal models. Assist with internal reporting of own view of risk. Involvement in ongoing projects and research to continue to develop exposure management capabilities and knowledge base. Assist in maintaining exposure management policy and process documentation. Applicants should have a STEM degree and ideally an understanding of exposure management principles and application. Additionally, excellent analytical and data skills, Microsoft Excel abilities, experience of data visualisation tools and the ability to potentially code in R and/or Python will be advantageous. Core attributes required for this role include an enthusiastic team player, motivated self-starter, consistency in producing high-level results with an attention to detail, strong time management skills, flexibility and agile in delivery of performance and strong communication both verbally and in writing.
