The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of domestic plumbing, heating, and gas work including installations, breakdowns, and maintenance and will take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship on every job. You ll be working in a fast-paced environment where independence, professionalism, and teamwork are equally valued. Key Responsibilities & Attributes Carry out domestic plumbing, heating, and gas installations, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard. Confidently work with air source and/or ground source heat pump systems . Maintain clear communication with customers, office staff, and management. Deliver excellent customer service and uphold company standards on every project. Manage your workload efficiently and work independently when required. Requirements Minimum 5 years experience as a qualified engineer. Strong knowledge of heat pump systems and general plumbing/gas work. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strip Down Department: Our client are a large engineering firm who are looking to recruit semi skilled fitters to join the team. We are looking for candidates with the right attitude, who want to learn and contribute to a team. Ideally candidates must have working experience of a Continuous Improvement environment & 5 S's. You also need to be able to communicate perfectly both written and orally and have used basic hand tools. Fitter: The role is on a 2 shift system Monday to Friday. The shift depends on which line you will work on. The role is on a long term temporary basis with potential to lead to a permanent job. All candidates will be expected to pass a drugs and alcohol test for the role. Fitter: Hours of Work: Rotating weeks. Mornings: Monday to Thursday: 06.00 - 14.00 & Fri: 06.00 - 12 noon.
