We are currently seeking an experienced HVDC Site Supervisor to join a major onshore power transmission project based in Norfolk . This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile HVDC converter station/substation project supporting the UK's critical energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation of complex HV pipework and electrical works within a live HVDC substation environment, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day supervision of electrical and HV pipework installation activities across the HVDC site. Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV/HVDC plant and equipment. Coordinate and manage site labour, including direct employees and subcontractors. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with client procedures, RAMS, and current electrical safety legislation. Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems, safe isolation procedures, and site safety standards. Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections. Liaise closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to resolve technical issues and maintain programme. Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and quality records. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Electrical Supervisor on HVDC converter station or HVDC substation projects . Demonstrable experience supervising complex HV pipework installation . Strong knowledge of HV electrical installation, testing, and commissioning. Experience managing site teams and subcontractors. Excellent understanding of permit-to-work systems, RAMS, and safe isolation procedures. SSSTS certification. Valid CSCS Card . First Aid at Work certification. Contract Details Duration: 3 4 months initially, with potential for extension. Contract Type: Outside IR35 Candidates must be able to operate via their own Limited Company.
