Electrician Are you an experienced Electrician with renewable energy experience looking to move off the tools into a technical specialist role? A fast-growing renewable energy company based in Leeds is looking for an Electrical Renewables Specialist to support their expanding UK installation teams. This is an exciting opportunity to use your electrical knowledge to support engineers installing Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging systems across the country. This role is ideal for someone who has strong electrical experience and renewable knowledge but wants to transition into a technical support, compliance and quality role within a rapidly growing sector. The Role You will work as part of a specialist renewables team, providing technical support to installation engineers across the UK while ensuring all installations meet company and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include: Providing remote technical support to field engineers installing Solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers Diagnosing electrical installation issues and providing technical solutions via phone or live chat Carrying out desktop compliance audits on completed installations Ensuring installations meet industry regulations and company standards Supporting internal departments including customer service and aftercare teams Maintaining accurate job records and technical documentation on internal systems Supporting the continuous improvement of installation processes and technical guidance Requirements We are looking for experienced electrical professionals who have: Minimum 5 years electrical experience At least 2 years renewable installation experience (Solar PV, EV Charging or Battery Storage) Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills 18th Edition Wiring Regulations NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) Excellent organisation and communication skills Desirable Experience The following experience would be beneficial but is not essential: Solar PV installation Domestic EV charger installation Battery storage systems Electrical wiring of air source heat pumps About the Company You will be joining a rapidly expanding renewable energy business working with some of the biggest names in the energy and home services sector.
