The Finance Manager will take the lead on the day to day ownership of the finance function, ensuring the business has accurate accounts, disciplined controls, dependable cash visibility and commercially useful reporting. Duties and responsibilities include: Own the monthly management accounts process. producing clear monthly commentary covering performance against budget, forecast and prior periods. Supports year-end accounts, audit and tax compliance, coordinating information for external advisors. Maintain a reliable short term cashflow forecast and support the FD with longer-range working capital planning. Oversee daily cash reporting, customer collections, supplier commitments and payment planning. Manage the financial administration and reconciliation of the invoice finance facility, including availability, reserves, uploads and lender queries. Support pricing, investment and operational decisions with clear financial analysis and scenario modelling. Help build budgets, forecasts and performance dashboards aligned to the drivers of the business. Maintain appropriate VAT records and support timely, accurate VAT and other statutory submissions with external advisors where applicable. As the ideal candidate you will be: Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience. Significant experience of producing monthly management accounts and maintaining strong balance sheet control in an SME or operational environment. Confident with stock accounting, costing, margin analysis; able to reconcile operational records to the general ledger. Advanced Excel skills - able to analyse complex data.
