This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise on a diverse range of projects across the minerals, waste and environmental sectors. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support to the Technical Director of Planning. Lead and contribute to a range of planning and environmental projects. Effectively manage all stages of project delivery including management of internal and external technical specialists. Management of multiple projects simultaneously. Provide clear, practical advice to clients and colleagues on UK planning policy and environmental legislation. Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and the preparation of Environmental Statements. Oversee the delivery of planning and Development Consent Order (DCO) applications. Liaise effectively with clients, regulators and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. Support the development of new business opportunities and help strengthen client relationships. Candidate Specification Previous experience in minerals and waste planning. Excellent knowledge of relevant Planning legislation. Experience in renewable energy projects would be an advantage. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Computer literacy and adaptability to new technologies. Confident in managing projects, budgets and people, with a focus on delivering results. Qualifications Degree BSc in planning or a related subject. Membership of a professional body such as the RTPI, CIWM or ISEP. Full UK driving licence. Prepare desk based studies, technical reports and quantitative risk assessments. Supervise site investigations and provide technical oversight of contractors and field teams. Liaise effectively with clients, regulators and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. Candidate Specification Strong technical knowledge of geology and environmental assessment. Proven experience in groundwater assessment projects. Excellent report writing and communication skills. A good knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
