Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Responsibilities As a Production Engineer - (Assembly), you will: Utilize CAD software to design tooling for assembly, welding, and pressure testing. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with visual aids to ensure consistency and quality. Manage ERP/MRP data, including part numbers, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production routes. Design and validate new production lines to optimize efficiency and output. Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Implement lean manufacturing tools such as Kanban, 5S, and SMED to streamline operations. Prepare and justify CAPEX proposals for new equipment and technologies. Provide technical support to production teams and mentor junior engineers. Analyze product costs and address quality issues, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and change requests. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions. Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive productivity improvements. Contribute to Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects and other engineering solutions. Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Production Engineering. Strong understanding of modern manufacturing methods and principles. Proficiency in CAD 3D design for jigs and fixtures. Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Kaizen, and 5S. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Lean Manufacturing, and VAVE principles. Excellent communication, project management, and team collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Project, and Excel. Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve: Designing and refining tooling and fixtures to enhance production processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement SOPs. Analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions. Leading team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Providing hands-on support to production teams and mentoring junior engineers. Preparing reports and presentations to communicate progress and results to stakeholders.
