In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on either the 150s or the West Repair Project, focusing on Rolling Stock. The position involves working shifts, including earlies (6am-2pm) or lates (2pm-10pm). For the West Repair Project, there may be occasional night shifts. Key Responsibilities: Conducting vehicle building tasks according to project requirements Performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections on trains Stripping and re-fitting of mechanical components Stripping and re-fitting of seats Stripping and re-fitting of hand rails & grab rails Stripping and re-fitting of underframe Adhering to safety protocols and quality standards Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow Following shift schedules and meeting project deadlines Requirements: Previous experience as a Vehicle Builder or similar role Knowledge of vehicle assembly, repair, and maintenance techniques Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and occasional nights NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required Open to the following industries: Rail, Aviation, HGV, Coach/PSV, Army, REME, Plant, FMCG. TXM Recruit are exclusively representing a railway business to recruit an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor / NEC Contract Administrator to join our team within the UK railway sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual elements of projects delivered under the NEC suite of contracts, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, and compliance across the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Options A, C, and E. Draft and manage early warnings, compensation events, and contract communications. Monitor and manage change control processes. Assist in preparing and reviewing subcontractor agreements. Prepare and manage cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and valuations. Monitor project budgets and provide accurate cost reporting. Evaluate contractor applications and manage payments in accordance with contract terms. Support final account settlements. Liaise with project teams, engineers, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost and contract Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and commercial discussions. Support procurement, including tender evaluation and contract award. Ensure adherence to Network Rail, HS2, or client-specific commercial procedures. Maintain accurate records and audit trails for commercial activities. Contribute to risk and opportunity identification and mitigation. Requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field. Membership of RICS, ICES, or equivalent (preferred). Proven experience working as a QS / Contract Administrator on UK rail infrastructure projects. Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts (essential). Experience with major UK rail clients such as Network Rail, HS2, or Tier 1 contractors. Familiarity with rail standards, safety requirements, and commercial best practices.

They are expanding their projects and are looking for an Assistant Mechanical Technician to join their team of technicians to learn, grow and enhance their experience. The role is based in Nottingham on a 6-month contract basis paying 15.91 per hour. As an Assistant Technician, you will be part of the maintenance team working towards set production targets to ensure trains meet ever exacting and challenging standards and are delivered to customers on time. The Role: Service, maintain, repair and overhaul traction and rolling stock components to the designated maintenance exam standard Carry out cleaning and labouring duties for all areas of the workshop and vehicles Operate fuel line and depot equipment Drive and operate cranes and road vehicles if a valid license is held Ensure all work is carried out to defined quality and safety standards Assist with special projects and additional tasks specified by depot management Key Responsibilities Previous mechanical or engineering background would be desirable. A NVQ in a related mechanical, electrical or engineer discipline would be desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work all shifts and be flexible.
