While time-served experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will work with a range of stainless alloys, ensuring high-quality precision machining. Various shifts: 06:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday 20:00-06:00 Monday night start - Friday morning finish Pay: 15.78 - 22.33 Including shift allowances Key Responsibilities: Machine large castings to specified drawings and tolerances. Operate various manual machines, including lathes and horizontal & vertical borers . Ensure production deadlines are met efficiently. Perform visual inspections of machined castings. Properly mark swarf drums for alloy identification . Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. Maintain safety standards in all activities in line with company procedures. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise components. Proficiency in working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment accurately. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Self-motivated but also an effective team player. Flexible approach to work, including overtime and shift work . Solid understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality control .
