Head of Marketing and Business Development Newport, South Wales £60,000 to £75,000 + bonus Permanent We are recruiting a Head of Marketing and Business Development for a UK manufacturer in the renewable energy sector, based in Newport, South Wales. This is a senior appointment a board level hire for a business at a significant point in its commercial development. The role This is for a genuine marketing leader who can set strategy and then drive a sales team to deliver against it. The business needs someone who understands how to build a brand, create demand and open markets and who has the commercial credibility to lead that process from the front rather than hand it off. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the senior leadership team. The role carries real weight and real autonomy. What you will be doing Developing and owning the marketing strategy across B2B and B2C markets, ensuring every activity connects directly to commercial outcomes and revenue growth. Leading and directing the sales function, setting the direction and holding the team accountable for delivery against the marketing strategy. Building the brand positioning the business as the technology leader in its field, developing messaging, driving digital presence and creating the collateral the commercial team needs to win. Owning digital marketing website, SEO, LinkedIn, campaigns and lead generation with a clear focus on pipeline and measurable results. Managing partner and distributor marketing, developing co-branded campaigns and joint go-to-market activity that drives sales through the channel. Leading the business's presence at key industry events and trade exhibitions and building relationships with sector media and industry bodies. Implementing proper marketing infrastructure CRM integration, analytics, automation and campaign attribution so the function runs on data not instinct. Managing the marketing budget with commercial discipline and reporting to the CEO and board on performance against agreed KPIs. What we are looking for A senior marketing professional with genuine commercial instinct and a track record of leading both marketing and sales functions in a technical or engineering led environment. You will need to be credible with a technical product, comfortable presenting at board level and capable of operating with real autonomy in an SME. You do not need a photovoltaics background but you do need to understand how to market technically complex products to technically informed buyers. A background in renewable energy, engineering, construction, manufacturing or technology would be a significant advantage. Strong digital marketing credentials are essential. Experience of managing and developing a sales team is important. International market development experience would also be beneficial as the business continues to grow its European and global presence. Salary £60,000 to £75,000 depending on experience, plus bonus.

Salary: 40,000 to 45,000 pro-rata (3 days per week) Job Type: Part-time, 3 days per week Sector: Finance / Accounting / Manufacturing The Role A hands-on finance and accounts position within a small team, offered on a part-time basis of three days per week. This role carries broad responsibility across day-to-day financial administration, purchasing, stock control and business reporting. It suits someone who is comfortable taking ownership across a wide remit, works accurately under their own initiative and thrives in a varied, practical role rather than a narrow specialism. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration. Processing sales and purchase invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and running credit control. Bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring and support for month-end processes. Preparing management information and financial reports. Managing the purchasing process from supplier enquiry through to order placement, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishment. Producing regular operational and financial reports and maintaining spreadsheets and databases. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies. What We Are Looking For Solid experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, purchasing or a similar broad-based finance role. Good working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations and financial reporting. Strong Excel skills and a confident approach to business systems. Experience with Xero is an advantage. Highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing a wide range of responsibilities independently. A flexible, hands-on attitude is essential in a small team environment. Salary 40,000 to 45,000 pro-rata, based on three days per week.
