Responsibilities Answering sales calls and actively prospecting for potential customers and creating demand for our products. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and manufacturer sales representatives. Taking ownership of customer enquiries from start to finish. Proactively making outbound calls to progress opportunities and follow up on open enquiries. Identifying opportunities for equipment demonstrations or dealer visits. Planning and organising events e.g. agricultural shows. Moving and handling machines in the yard. Carrying out machine familiarisation training with customers. Learning how to valuate part exchanges. Requirement Relevant experience within the agriculture or construction industries. Experience within a sales environment, or an interest in learning about sales. The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy team. The ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues. A good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service. Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Attention to detail. The ability to work on your own initiative. Flexible, positive, and outgoing approach to work. Business Development Manager- Scotland/Wales Sites The Role As the Business Development Manager for Hydro, you will lead the development and growth of the hydro sector of the business. This is a strategic key account management role focused on work winning, identifying and securing new opportunities, and positioning the business as a trusted partner across the hydro market. This position is responsible for developing customer engagement strategies, leading work-winning activities, and driving sustainable revenue growth within existing and new hydro sector accounts. Working closely with operational, technical, and leadership teams, the BDM will play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence and delivering long-term business success. Ideal candidate would be happy with travel to hydro sites across the UK (primarily Scotland and Wales). Responsibilities Act as the primary account lead for major hydro clients, building strong, long-term customer relationships and ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction. Develop and execute account strategies to drive growth, revenue generation and market share within the hydro sector. Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities, leading the full bid and work-winning process from opportunity through to contract award. Key Responsibilities Carry out maintenance, servicing, repair and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery within the workshop and on client sites when required. Perform diagnostics, fault finding and basic root cause analysis. Complete pre-hire inspections and accurately record test results and maintenance documentation.
