I am currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer for a well-established and thriving company who manufacture specialist, precision products for a wide range of industries from defence to aerospace. This is a new role which will involve working closely with Commercial and Engineering teams in order to provide estimates for the costs of projects, products and services. Duties will include: Understanding and analysing the customers specifications and drawings and discussing complete specifications with Engineering and Manufacturing departments Lead complex quote process' Researching the prices of components required Calculating the final budget for the project or product Tracking costs and keeping the customer and suppliers informed of costs and progress Consolidating specifications and recommending configurations Requirements A degree in an engineering subject is essential and whilst some relevant experience in a mechanical component engineering environment is preferred, consideration will be given to recent graduates.
