Manage capacity for technical enablement work to support the delivery of the architectural vision. Coordinate with other teams, such as business stakeholders, to achieve project goals. Risk and Quality Assurance: Perform and interpret technical assessments, to identify and address risks and vulnerabilities. Assure the quality of technical work, ensuring it fits into the broader strategic architecture of the organization. Strategic and Business Alignment: Engage with senior stakeholders to present technical trade-offs and gain consensus, linking technology decisions to business outcomes. Advise on security controls and cloud platform best practices, balancing usability, cost, and compliance requirements. Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus. About The Role Working within the Engineering Department, the role of the Applications Engineer is to transform customer and contract requirements into engineered Switchgear solutions. Working between design and manufacturing, the role is to develop technical specifications, support contracts designers in producing accurate Bills of Materials, and ensuring high-quality electrical and mechanical drawings are provided for both production and customer use. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving, offering the opportunity to supply tailored engineering solutions from concept through to delivery. Key Responsibilities: To determine the appropriate ratings and performance requirements from Tendering Specification and ensure the equipment being supplied complies with the customers switchgear specifications Coach and train other staff in relevant technical areas. To work closely with customers to establish the operational and performance requirements of the customers application (e.g., Current, Voltage and fault ratings, etc.) are complied with by the appropriate BRUSH equipment. To issue detailed Engineering Specifications for the Mechanical and Electrical Contract Designers, Manufacturing and Procurement department, and design complex relay protection and substation control schemes. About The Role Job Summary: We are looking for a site manager to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities related to High Voltage (HV) electrical infrastructure projects . The site manager will be responsible for ensuring that all HV construction works are executed safely, on schedule with programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires deep knowledge of high voltage systems (typically 11kV to 132kV), strong leadership skills, and strict adherence to industry safety and regulatory standards.Location - Sites located across the South of England - travel will be required to various locations as needed. Key Responsibilities: Liaising with all stakeholders to manage all construction activities, including progressing of programmes, risk assessments and method statements. Holding Competent Person status (CP) administering the Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and ensuring safety process are upheld onsite Liaising with all Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase. Receiving, managing and issuing drawings for construction at site level, checking construction meets the requirements of design. Working with the team members to ensure delivery on site is done safely, efficiently and is compliant. Monitor site progress, manage schedules, and mitigate any potential risks or delays. Managing sub-contractor onsite activities. Managing internal direct reports for Construction team. Providing input into design reviews as and when required.
