My Belfast-based client is seeking an experienced and reliable Fire and Security Engineer to join their growing team. Job Purpose To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and emergency response works on a wide range of Fire & Security Systems in accordance with client contracts and safety regulations. Aims & Objectives Maintain engineering standards to maximise system performance and reliability Contribute to a high-performing team focused on exceptional client service Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations Deliver responsive and effective maintenance and support services Key Responsibilities Carry out PPM in line with contract schedules Complete reactive maintenance and respond to system faults Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs and upgrades Ensure all work adheres to relevant health and safety and quality assurance protocols Maintain accurate records/documentation for each site Liaise with subcontractors and coordinate their attendance on-site Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs as required Provide detailed reports and updates for completed work Support system upgrades and project-based installations where necessary Work alongside and support other trades and engineers on site Qualifications & Experience Essential: Proven experience working with fire alarm, intruder, access control, and CCTV systems Strong fault-finding and system commissioning skills Good understanding of current regulations (BS5839, BS EN54, etc.) Full UK driving licence Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable: Industry-recognised certifications (e.g. FIA Units, IPAF, ECS, CSCS, manufacturer training) Experience working on major system brands (e.g. Gent, Advanced, C-Tec, Hikvision, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom) What s in it for you? ROLE SUMMARY: The Technical Programme Lead (TPL) is responsible for owning and delivering all aspects of technical solution delivery for key customers in the City of London. The TPL plays a key role in delivering the company's safety and security technology solutions and services working with the Technical Consultants to ensure customer objectives are met and exceeded. Qualifications SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Ideally qualified to diploma level Sound understanding of network infrastructure to underpin integrated security solutions including perimeter firewalls, core switches, distribution switches, and edge switches Experience working with virtual environments such as Microsoft Hyper-V/VMWare Experienced in implementing complex integrated security systems technologies e.g., Gallagher, Genetec, Lenel, Veracity, Milestone, etc. Experience with Enterprise Grade VMS and Access Control systems such as Genetec and Milestone Experience in integrating large security systems into one single pane of glass. APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification essential. Proven experience managing projects of varying complexity and size, preferably in a relevant industry or domain. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proficient in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
