Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking to recruit Production Operatives to assist in the manufacturing, assembly and testing of their products. As a Production Operative in the Wax Assembly department main duties will include: Assembly of wax moulds and wax runner systems Use of machinery and hand tools Handling delicate runner wax and soluble wax Attaching riser system to the wax moulds Quality checking products Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy The ideal production operative will have : Experience in a manufacturing/production environment. A light touch as you are handling delicate materials A good work ethic, strong attention to detail and excellent time keeping skills. You must be physically fit as the role may involve periods of standing and some manual lifting. Safety boots will be required, all other PPE provided Hours of Work Monday-Thursday 06:00am-4.30pm and Friday 06:00am-2.30pm . 48 hours a week. As a Foundry Production Operative your main duties will include: Aluminium melt preparation prior to casting Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting) Moving moulds following casting Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders The ideal Foundry Production Operative will have: High degree of physical fitness. This is a strenuous role with manual handling. Experience in a Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction environment. A good work ethic, A good level of physical coordination Excellent time keeping skills. Hours of Work Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm - 40 hours per week This role is Temp - Perm due to the nature of the role and will require a 2 week temporary working basis before permanent employment status is achieved.
